The Adobe player and the Adobe Reader are two different products, more
or less independent of each other, though owned by the same company -
Adobe Systems, Inc. The Adobe Player handles Adobe Flash content. The
Reader reads .pdf files. A .pdf can contain Flash objects, but need
not.
