Here's the quote from the Courier Express. Sounds like $120 for the two
ads. That means we need to have 24 people show up just to break even on
the newspaper ad. Then there's the cost of the copies and any other ad
costs that come in from the other sources. Blaine -------- Original Message --------
I am thinking a 4"x3" ad to run 10-1 & 10-8 at $59.52 per ad. Let me know if this works. Prepayment is required. On Sep 13, 2010, at 1:08 PM, Blaine Clark wrote: Hello all, |
Hello all,
Here is the latest info on the Dining in the Dark exercise for the Pennsylvania Council of the Blind. Sorry for the delay, Aussie has undergone a change in managership and some details had to be re-established.
We would appreciate any public service or non-profit advertising cost-cuts. We are only making $5 per plate plus any on-the-spot donations we may receive.
Please RSVP ASAP with any further questions and/or call Roxanne Pearce or Stephanie Cleveland at Aussies, 503-8303 for restaurant details.

Hank Bloomberg's Chapter of the Pennsylvania Council of the Blind is hosting a Dining in the Dark exercise. This an awareness raising event, a fun raising event and a fund raising event. This is a learning exercise to allow the sighted population to 'see' what it's like to function as a blind person while in a restaurant from ordering to being served and then to the last wipe of the napkin. Reservations are required in order to participate. There will be a presentation at 6:00 pm, Saturday, October 9th, from the members explaining who and what we are, followed by all who are attending donning sleep-masks. The meal will be served at around 6:30. There will a waiver stating that you are responsible for your own laundry and that slips and spills and other accidents can occur while you are blindfolded. Oh yes, Dinning in the Dark actually involves eating and drinking while blindfolded. Who: Hank Bloomberg Chapter of the Pennsylvania Council of the Blind. P.O. Box 945, DuBois, PA. 15801.
