Programs at Cook Forest State Park - Saturday, April 23 at 930am - ‘Brew and Birding: Birding Cook Forest’ - Please bring your binoculars and coffee mugs to the Park Office to start the day off with a morning interpretive hike listening for warblers, thrushes, and goshawks in one of the Northeastern United States most magnificent old growth forests. We’ll then car-pool to birding hotspots along the Clarion River. This is an excellent opportunity to learn how to identify forest birds by ear. Bald eagles and osprey have been known to make an appearance.

DuBois Area Council of the Arts in collaboration with the Downtown DuBois Revitalization Group announces the first Downtown DuBois Art-Walk 2011 scheduled from April 30th to May 6th, 2011. Art walk is designed to showcase and celebrate the work of local artists
and craftsmen as well as to bring the community in the downtown area. Art work will be hosted by the businesses in downtown area. Community members will take the Art Walk walking into businesses and shops located along the Brady Street and West Long Avenue corridors visiting the host businesses and their guest artists. Art Walk opens with an invitation to Meet the Artists on Saturday, April 30 from 1-4pm. Here the visitors can visit the merchants and also meet and greet the artists showing their work. Art Walk will be open to visitors throughout the week during normal business hours and will end on May 6th 2011. All art work will be for sale if you choose to take a piece home.
