[vicsireland] off topic messages

Hi All,

As most of you are aware there has been a recent campaign aimed at making
Irish Rail and the wider public aware of the lack of reliable audible
announcements on irish trains.

This campaign was primarily organised via the Ireland vip news mailing list,
(a list for discussing issues of general interest to visually impaired
people in Ireland).

However, discussion of the campaign has now started to come up on several
threads on this list.

I have no problem with general announcements regarding the campaign being
posted to this list, (so that as many people as possible are aware of
campaign updates), but the purpose of this list is for the discussion of
technology related issues.

Remember folks, many people join the vics list so that they can post
questions regarding technology or learn from others about the latest
advances in technology.

They don't expect to read emails which have nothing to do with Vics or
technology.

If people wish to discuss issues of a general interest to the visually
impaired community then they can join the Ireland vip news list by following
instructions posted on this list earlier.

So, lets all try and keep are mails on topic in the future and make the list
as productive and beneficial as possible.
