Hi Susan,

If you are trying to achieve on your XP machine the steps I outlined for
creating a classic look desktop on a vista computer  then it won't work. XP
settings and vista settings are not the same so it won't work for you.
Only someone using a vista machine will see "personalise" in the context
menu while on their desktop with "nothing" selected. The context menu
accessed via the application key or "shift + F10"

hi paul,

arrowing down to personalize, is this a vista feature in the application 
menu, I tried to do it with my computer and personalize isn't there? how do 
you get your desk top without any thing highlighted?
