You will be able to use it with a UPC or Sky service, just like any other TV, but they won't have access to the UPC menus or programme guide, so they can't speak them. Similarly for Sky boxes. However, I understand that Panasonic will be releasing talking TVs with both Saorview and satellite receivers inside them. This should mean that they will receive the full range of Irish channels from Saorview and all the main UK channels from Freesat. All free. For people who are only paying for UPC or Sky because it's the only way of getting all the Irish and UK channels, this way of getting them for free with a talking programme guide and menus will be very attractive. I can't guarantee this at the moment, but this is how it should work.

Hi Mark,

Do you know how these would integrate with other service providers like
UPC?
