Yes, I have run AVG, Spybot, Ad-aware and the "clean-up" programme you
gave me. When I am saving stuff, JAWs speaks the percentages and next I
can hear the computer going down.  The first time I noticed it I was
copying something from the Zip disc to the floppy but now it occurs when
saving a web page to floppy. I must check if it occurs when saving word
documents.
