Does include breakfast, certainly booking through the hotel at any rate!

Subject: [vicsireland] Open Day in Galway accommodation

Hi, gang,

as Tony (sorry, Mr. Murray) said, the open day is coming up fast; less then
two weeks to go. He will circulate fuller details very soon, but the day is
due to last from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m on Saturday, November 18th in the
victroria Hotel, Eyre Square, Galway.

I am sure that some people will want to stay over in Galway on either the
Friday, the Saturday or, like myself, both nights.

Keeping in mind the fact that the nearer you get to Eyre square the dearer
the hotel is, here are some hotels that might suit

Best Western Flannery's Hotel (2k out on the Dublin Road)
Clybaun Hotel, Salt Hill
Days Hotel (2k out on the dublin road)
harbour Hotel (near the quays, 2 minutes from Eyre Square)
Skeffington Arms (Eyre Square)
Victoria Hotel (Eyre Square)

I think the best option is to ring eBookers. As I found by checking around,
they can get a cheaper price than that advertised on the hotel's own web
site. Try Pamela at her direct number (01) 241 5677. alternatively, the main
number for eBookers is (01) 488 3507.

By the way, I have a twin room booked for Friday and saturday nights in the
Victoria Hotel where the open day is taking place. Anyone like to share? 99
Euros will cover you for both nights. Not sure yet if that includes
breakfast, but it's a very good price for a hotel on eyre square.

Hope to meet many of you in Galway.

Take care,

Gerry Ellis
