Also in Windows10 JAWS supports 'audio ducking' of JAWS in the JAWS voice
adjustment dialogue.

Hi David,
Yes, there is a way - at least, it works in Windows7 (and I would presume in
Windows upwards).
From the Search dialogue, type sndvol and hit ENTER.
Now you're in the volume control. Using JAWS, TAB through the list of
running items. One of these will be JAWS, and you can increase/decrease JAWS
volume relative to the other running items.
That is the simple no-cost solution. The other is to run JAWS through a
different sound card and adjust it in the properties sheet there.

Subject: [vicsireland] Jaws Volume
Hi All,
I'm delivering a training session later which includes some audio.
Unfortunately the volume of that audio is a little on the low side, even
with Windows Media Player volume at 100%. So I have to crank the system
audio up.
The problem with this is that it makes Jaws so loud at the same time that it
blasts the ears off me! Is it possible to change Jaws volume independently
of system audio?
I went into Voice settings and it seems it's tied to system audio, but Jaws
being quite complicated I hoped I might be missing something.
I can do this in NVDA but I'm using PowerPoint and generally find Jaws more
robust and reliable with PowerPoint.
Thanks,
Dave
