Hi mmaureen, The keyboard voice is the one you might be concerned with here; and for that, you would do the Individual Voice Adjustment option, radiobutton 2 of 2. You would then tab, and in the combo box pick the keyboard Voice, 3 of 4 and then make the adjustments as you tab through. However, that as such may not be the problem. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Maureen Newelll" <mcnewell@xxxxxxxxxx> To: <vicsireland@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, April 11, 2008 7:09 PM Subject: [vicsireland] Re: Jaws 8 Echo Tony, Insert and 2 on the top line toggles between the diferent echoes you want. Perhaps JAWS can't keep up with your fingers, they are going so fast! Maybe if you speeded up JAWS a bit, it might help, you do this by doing insert and j, then options and then down to voices. Next enter on global adjustment and JAWS will say "modify default" radio button checked, tab once and it will say "rate" and arrow up or down to increase the rate, then tab over to the O.K. button. ----- Original Message ----- >From: "Tony Sweeney" <tonysweeney1@xxxxxxxxxx> To: "vics" <vicsireland@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, April 11, 2008 12:09 AM Subject: [vicsireland] Jaws 8 Echo Hi All, I am using XP Pro with jaws 8. Now, Jaws is not always echoing the letters I write although I have it set to speak, letters & words! I did an uninstall & a jaws update but that didn't sort out the problem! I have Mcafee security running but I have disabled the automatic scan option! I have Office 2007 installed also but I don't think that that is the problem as I have the same nuisance without not going in to that! Could anyone who has possibly or similar please advise? Any assist appreciated as always. Tony. -- No virus found in this incoming message. Checked by AVG.
