Hi, Mark,
Sorry for confusion, you're right. RTE Player, not Iplayer. As usual, trying
to skip a couple of letters leads to confusion and a load load of extra
letters trying to explain the mess (smile)!
Your question about AD falls into the same category as subtitles; I was told
that they do not appear on the Player even though they appeared on the
original transmission. I need to confirm that this is or is not correct and
for obvious reasons I can't tell because I can't see what is on the screen.
Maybe you'd look at, for instance, tonight's news and watch the same again
tomorrow on the Player and see if they are different?

Just to avoid any confusion, this is the RTÉ Player, not the iPlayer. I know
it may sound like I'm being picky and I often am but I've had crossed
conversations before when someone says iPlayer and means RTÉ Player, which
has no 'i' in it.
Gerry, does the RTÉ Player have AD capability so that when Fair City is
broadcast with AD (three trial episodes this Autumn) will that be available
through the Player?
