Hi Kelsey,

Depending on the update, JAWS does run Setup, and it did happen with this latest update. Don't worry, though, you won't lose any of your settings. Just let Setup do its thing, and you'll be fine.

Subject: [vibug-support] JAWS 18

Hello i was hoping someone could help me. I use JAWS 18 at work. I currently have JAWS 18.2324 and am trying to install the latest update. The last two updates installed with no issues, but today when I went to check for updates and the updated downloaded, I was taken to the JAWS setup package. I am not sure why it would want me to reinstall JAWS when I already have it installed and the previous two updates did not do this. When I exited out of the setup wizard, it said that the update was successfully installed, but in reality nothing installed. My work computer is a Dell but I don't know the exact model. My personal laptop is an Hp and I have never had this happen on it. Therefore, have any other JAWS users who use Dell experienced this? If so, is there a way to bypass the setup wizard and install the update like normal?
Thank you,
Kelsey Nicolay
