HI Nicky,
Its lovely that you are looking for ideas for more opportunities for us and a
song writing retreat sounds like a fantastic idea. I've been to events at
RNIB, learning events and talks which have all been very useful and engaging
but I also think we need a platform to showcase our talents. I suggested the
idea of a jamming week-end and would still be up for the idea if others would
and a few of us could have a chat and maybe organise something. I know the
lunchtime concerts at RNIB haven't been going for a while but I wondered about
something like an open mike or variety day where we could all perform in front
of each other as we met many interesting people at the day on January 5th and
it would be lovely to hear them perform and a relaxed atmosphere where we
could all give each other encouragement and support also helps us to gain more
confidence. I wonder if that's something you could look in to James and Sally
as the RNIB events are always very successful.
