hi niki. here are suggestions.
running the newest os from windows i see no problem using the two
following suggestions.
both of these suggestions will put the .mp3 files on the sd card.
1. using the included power cable connect your fire with your pc by
usb. you should get the fire to open directories. look for the sd
card. note that i have never done this because my laptop runs win. xp
and will not recognize the fire. but, you should be able to find the
sd card directory. i would suggest that you put the .mp3 music in a
folder (music), copy from the pc and paste into the sd card directory.
2. you could also use a sd card card reader instead and transfer that way.
3. if you remove the sd card from the fire, be sure to go into quick
settings/settings/storage and tap the proper link before removal of
the sd card.
when you want to find the files go into this quick links item and tap
on sd card storage and you will find a listing of what is stored on
the sd card.
