Diet and allergies often manifest at hot spots. I don't recall my dogs having them, but I once boarded a dog for rehabilitation that had a lot and by the time he came to me were very deep. I used an herbal wash that was very effective. If your interested in trying that I will look up the combination I used and send it to the list. Jo
