Try it. It should work.

Subject: [vi-android] Quick question about Amazon Kindle fire 8 inch 16GB
Importance: High
OK, so, I bit the bullet.
I actually today bought me a Kindle Fire 8 inch 16GB tablet.
So far, I'm loving what I'm seeing, and Voiceview seems to work exceptionally
well, all things considered.
Here's my question: I have sideloaded the Google Play store on the device,
which by the way, for anyone wonderring how to do this, you don't have to root
the device, nor do you have to install any kind of a custom rom. The whole
process is 1? hundred! percent accessible, and is literally as easy as just
installing a few A P K files, and you're done.
Anyway, so for those who know about how this works, kind a, I'm wonderring: I
know I can't install Talkback on this thing, well... OK, you can... but it
won't work if you try to load it, although Shine will work, and of corse, so
does the default Voiceview app that comes preinstalled. Anyway, I see in the
Voiceview settings, that I can absolutely indeed get to the Text-To-Speech
options. So, if! given the fact that I installed the Google play store, I go
and try installing my purchased copy of Eloquence from the Play Store, will
that actually work? Would it be compatible where I could switch it over? Or, am
I stuck to only using Ivona which comes with the Kindle?
Chris.
