Thanks for the reassurance.


Baum Hq has lent an Ultra to us in New Zealand through our agency, and I will be purchasing. Part of the arrangement I have is to provide feedback to the agency.


I understand your points regarding time and date. I'm one of those who likes to hit a button and have braille give the time - so much better than speech. So it's just one of those things which is important.


But yes: I've got there, and this list is great. Have been lurking for a while as part of my researching the device.

It's unusual these days to find a device where you need to set the time
manually. VarioUltra does not have WiFi so cannot get the time from the
internet. In the UK we set the time before shipping. But naturally
that's much more difficult to do in larger markets. And some VarioUltra
users, who are working mostly in display mode, may not bother with using
the internal clock.

As with every product, VarioUltra has some usability quirks that can
take a little bit of getting used to. But everyone at BAUM is committed
to providing the best possible support. And there are lots of helpful
people here on the VarioUltra group. So if you have any further
questions, however elementary, don't hesitate to ask.
