Hi Jim,
I'm glad I could help. Just as an added tip, you can also use N with space to
get out of the list of those notifications. I had no idea you could leave that
list by pressing a cursor routing button, so thanks for the tip.

Brianna,
I had the event I earlier described once again. Because I had no real idea
and because your idea seemed definitely possible, I decided to assume that
was the case. Also, as I looked at each of the numbered items more closely,
they seemed like notifications. I used the cursor routing button on one and
it opened giving my access to the message I had been drafting. I have no
recollection of hitting n with the space bar but think I must have done so.
Brianna, thank you! This is a feature I never use so it is one I forget about
mostly.

Hi,
Is it possible that you could be hitting the letter N with space? That brings
up a list of the hints and such things VoiceOver has said. It has the full
cell and a number before the text of the hint or notification.
This is just an idea.

I have not tried that. I resolved it by turning off the VU, resetting it and
connecting from the voice over settings. It is holding now and seems fine.
This is not the first time what I described has happened though so I am
curious about an explanation.

I'm not exactly sure what the problem might be here, but have you tried
sliding the switch to notetaker mode and then back to display mode?

I have a vario ultra 40 and an iPhone 6S running the latest software. I am
using UEB as the braille table; input is 6dot contracted and output the same.
The display is paired but largely not functioning. This happens from time to
time and what I see on the display when it does is an 8 dot cell filling the
far left cell and a number including a numeric indicator immediately next to
that. Right now it shows the number 10 but the number seems to vary some.
There is a blank space with Double tap to open
If I move the navistick or move using space with braille dot 4 or the other
way with dot 1, the numbers change. They maintain the 8 dot cell with which
ever number is chosen. It does not appear that I can leave the home screen in
any way. This does not happen that often, but this is not the first time. It
is as though there is not a complete pairing. I can operate the phone with
the touch screen using all VO gestures but… When I do that with VO gestures,
the display does not change. Thoughts?
