[va-richmond-general] Re: [va-bird] Pec Sand, N Rough winged Swallow

Is this the first sighting of a Northern Rough Wing this year? ...three days earlier than last year?

All,
Today, around noon I saw a single Northern Rough winged Swallow from the
Floodwall in the City of Richmond. Also sub Ad. Bald Eagle, Osprey. Didn't
see the Ash-Throated Flycatcher.

Later in the afternoon I birded out along Route 5 and Shirley plantation. 1
Pectoral Sandpiper was with 30 or so Killdeer in a field on the approach
road to Shirley plantation, Charles City co. Not particularly birdy. Plenty
of Canada geese in the air (heading north?), and about 200 Ring Necked Duck
on Crewes pond. About 20 American Coot at Shirley. 3 Kestrel Turkey Island
rd.
