[va-richmond-general] recent Cumberland birds and flowers

Yellow-breasted Chat
Brown Thrashers
Magnolia Warbler
Yellow-rumped Warblers (still)
Bobolinks - two calling out their favorite color (pink! pink!) in flight
Northern Bobwhite (the kids thought it was very funny that a bird was saying
its name)
At Bear Creek Lake State Park:
Summer Tanager
Scarlet Tanager (2 - male and female together)
Ovenbird
Blue Grosbeak
Pine Warbler
Yellow-throated Vireo
Orchard Oriole (immature male)
and a possible Cape May Warbler - I never saw it, but I heard the high-pitched,
slow "see see see see." Not anywhere near as fast or as sharp as the "see see"
call I've been hearing from Chipping Sparrows lately.

For you botanists out there, I saw several Pink Ladyslippers on one of the
paths. Some were turning brown - do they have a short lifespan? I saw many
other of the two big pairs of leaves at the bottom, but no flower or stalk.

Finally - does anyone know if va-richmond-general-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx is a
legitimate address or not? I have AVG for e-mail scanning and I get messages
saying that it could not deliver e-mail to that address (not that I ever sent
any). Is it a fake address? Someone please respond to this as I never seem to
see my own posts so I have no idea if they are getting delivered or not (I see
other people's, however).
