Tonight hopefully will be the turning point when referring to the survival
of the purple martin roost on 17th Street. Rex Springston a reporter for the
Times Dispatch and a friend of Sue Ridd will be at the site tonight with a
cameraman. The Center Of Conservation Biology at the college of William & Mary
will be there. A representative from the city has been invited but as Rex said
is scared to say anything and probably won't show. All of what's happening
tonight is to gather information and finalize reports for an article to be
published in the Richmond Tmes Dispatch Friday morning. From everything that
has
been discussed this could be the saving grace for this roost site. Hope all
of you will come out tonight at about 7:15 to see the birds and help promote
saving this roost.
Thanks,
Jimmy Fitzgerald
