Trout lilies are in bloom at the Wetlands in the area between the boardwalk
and Pleasants Creek up close to the houses.

Subject: [va-richmond-general] late posting: Nottoway River Sat March 28 and
Chester sightings
While checking out some kayaking launch sites along the Nottoway on Saturday
the Yellow-throated warblers were singing literally everywhere. One tree had
2 Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers and a Yellow-throated warbler at the same time.
Three Great Egrets were seen near Purdy.
In Chester I kicked up about 5 Snipe behind our house later Sat. afternoon
and also watched a Greater Yellowlegs working the swamp. Chickadees have an
almost completed nest in one of our Bluebird Boxes, a Female Wood Duck is
sitting tight in one of our boxes and the Brown-headed Nuthatches continue
to feast on Safflower.
Enjoy the spring!
