I, too, noted a ruby crowned kinglet not usually seen outside the kitchen
window at my Fan apartment. He seemed to be gleaning insects or spiders. It
was at the crevices in the bricks near the gutters on the second floor. It
was very busy yesterday for a few minutes. The birds are ignoring the chili
pepper suet on the porch. Any ideas why? Its been hanging up for a few
months. Does the stuff go bad?
