[va-richmond-general] hummingirds?...

Well, this newly relocated (from Texas) and new
birding e-list member has gotten her favorite
angel birdbath, her very solid metal squirrel-proof
feeder (my other feeders got inundated by these very
intelligent and voracious VA squirrels!), and her
hummingbird feeder up this weekend. I have a question
about VA hummers: I saw one female unidentified hummer
so far but no others yet. Since I'm still getting more
familiar with birding here in the Portsmouth area, I'm
wondering what's the usual hummingbird situation at
this time of year in VA? Haven't yet had a chance to
consult the area birding books so thought I'd ask
ya'll experts here first (do Virginians
say "ya'll"...?) Thanks!, Jeanette
