The Anchorage Daily News of Anchorage , Alaska has an article on the winter
Bohemian Waxwing flocks in that city and vicinity. The flocks are larger than
the Cedar Waxwing flocks here. I remember when I lived there seeing flocks of
hundreds of specimens along the shoreside parks .They added a lot of color to
the stark snowpack covered woods with just Black Capped Chickadees, Ravens ,
and Red Breasted Nuthatches as the common winter residents.
