Julie,

Have you tried the UV decals on your windows?  I have birds flying all over the place--even inside (no screen doors) and haven't known a bird to hit the windows since putting them up.

Had a young Red-bellied Woodpecker slam into the dining room window this past weekend. It was dazed for a bit down in the shrubs. After an hour to calm down and cool off in a make-shift cage with suet strapped to the side and water available, the little guy was successfully released to the white oak he frequents. As he hopped up the tree, Mom came along to give him a beak full of food and off they flew...
