This morning Jethro Runco, the bander at First Landing State Park in Va
Beach, caught a banded, young male prairie warbler on its first northward
migration. It turns out, following investigation, that that very bird was
banded by Jethro last Aug. 26th as a juvenile in its first southward
migration....at Kiptopeke! Today's capture makes Jethro one a very small
set of banders who can claim making a foreign recovery of their own bird!
