Yes, they were heard "peenting" Friday along Falling Creek in a wooded area
across from our house in Meadowbrook Estates. This was the first time we have
heard them at home.
Also had a pair of chicadees trying to use a screech owl box in our yard. Wood
chips had been put in the box because the owls are supposed to like them, but
the chicadees were meticulously taking them out by the billfull and spreading
them on the ground. They have stopped now, but are occasionally seen entering
the box. Big house for chicadees!
