[va-richmond-general] Re: Where are the Yellow -rumped Warblers?

Yellow-rumped Warblers seem to be in low numbers this year. The Cape
Charles CBC had a record low count. The low population can't be blamed on
damaged winter food supply as Cape May also had very low numbers, and they
weren't affected by Isabel.

Last week I asked Mary Pulley about the lack of Yellow-rumps. She said
that it is hurricane related. Isabel stripped many of the cedar and Wax
Myrtle berries, so most of the birds bypassed us this year. Never thought
I would miss them.....but I do. Has anyone heard reports of large numbers
of Yellow-rumps further south?
