Hello Birders,
I visited Northumberland, Mathews, eastern Henrico, Charles City counties,
and the city of Richmond this past weekend. On Saturday 3/21 the highlights
were SAVANAH "IPSWICH" SPARROW at Hughlett Point in Northumberland Co, and 2
PIPING PLOVERS at Bethel Beach, Mathews Co. A Peregrine at Westpoint in the
am. was good to see.
On Sunday 3/22, Singing HERMIT THRUSHES and PURPLE FINCH were a treat in
Charles City. In the evening I went down to to the Floodwall and was
pleasantly surprised to see an ICELAND GULL (pale 1st cy/winter).
