I received an email from Donald S. Heintzelman, Editor & Publisher of the
International Hawkwatcher, Allentown, PA. Here is an abstract of what was in
the email:
For those interested there is a Tundra Swan Conference happening the first
weekend in March 2003 in Pennsylvania. Part of the goal is to stop the
possible
creation of a hunting season on Tundra Swans in that state.
The conference goal is to generate widespread and genuine
public support in appreciation and protection of wild Tundra Swans, and the
essential wetlands in which they live, Friends of Animals will sponsor and
host "A Celebration of Tundra Swans: Swan Watching Weekend 2003" on the
weekend of 8-9 March 2003, in Lancaster, PA.
The event will include field trips.
