Hi Kate,
Including that article in the Thrasher without your approval would not be OK
for me to do, so I replaced it with another article when I didn't hear from you
before going to print. I wouldn't run anything like that without your
approval. The file had to go out yesterday so the issues can make it to people
as early in May as possible.
Would you be interested in writing something for the August/September issue
that could really be whatever you want? Caroline's idea was that it be about
your experiences and feelings/ideas or whatever while seeing or identifying
birds for the first time, but it could be whatever you come up with. The
deadline for that issue is not until July 15th so there is plenty of time. You
could just make some notes as you see things and maybe write individual
experiences, then combine them into an article later. It could even be for
October if you want to wait that long. Your writing style is different and
fresh, and that would make interesting reading.
Let me know.
Al

Al,
I would have preferred that you had run this by me first.
