[va-richmond-general] Re: Swift Creek Reservoir

Linda and I also saw some coots at Swift Creek Reservoir last week. They
were acting very strangely - chasing each other around, etc. They were at
Sunday Park with some Mallards that were there because people were feeding
them, and they gobbled up the food along with the Mallards. One guy I heard
said: "Hey! those aren't ducks!"
There were also some weird looking ducks with fuzzy caps. They looked like
some sort of hybrids of Mallards with domestic ducks. One was almost white
with some brown streaks, and another was darker, but both had  very strange
round fuzzy caps about 2 inches in diameter that stuck straight out from the
top of their heads by about 3/4 - 1 inch, and kind of swished back and forth
when they moved their heads.
