"The Smithsonian's Conservation and Resource Center in Front Royal is
planning a workshop on February 22, 2003 on "Basic Bird Identification
and Monitoring" (registration deadline Jan. 31).  The workshop is
intended to train participants in techniques and protocols that can be
shared with students in classroom monitoring projects.  More details are
