Does this mean you didn't get any other birds for the rest of the day? If I 
were a bird I wouldn't be anywhere near a hawk. A couple of years ago I saw a 
red-shouldered hawk perched in a tree in my yard. We did not get any other 
birds for the rest of the day.

Today a Sharp-shinned Hawk made a pass at my feeder and a short while late a 
Cooper's Hawk perched on top of the sunflower feeder and then perched on the 
post holding the hanging bird bath.? Both nice adults.
