Dear Everyone,
We have had a heat wave and it got up to 70 or so here but it is getting cool
again. It stays light until about 11:00 P.M. I believe I saw two storks today
which are vagrants. We have lots of corn crakes but I have yet to see one. The
puffins on Staffa Isle fly right up to your feet. I may go on a whale watch on
Tuesday.
The island is covered with rocky grass covered hills and the only trees are in
the village. There are about 100 villagers and I would quess 1,000 or so sheep.
We have a great view of the islands which are west and north of here from the
north end of Iona.
Take care,
Bob and Sandy Wynne
