During the Breeding Bird Atlas Project, I stood in front of a "potential"
screech owl nest cavity. Making a sound similar to the screech owl call, the
chickadees, titmice and nuthatches responded by dive bombing the hole of the
nest cavity. In some book, I had read of this behavior but, I'm sorry I can't
remember where.
