[va-richmond-general] Re: Red-headed Woodpecker tree

Hello Mary and All,

We have an ancient ADC map which shows the Carillon on page 24, grid A4.
Dogwood Dell is just on the east side of the Carillon where there is a
great deal of parking.
The tree is about 60 feet in from the entrance nearest the circle on the
east side of the Carillon.
Unfortunately, I did not note the tree species other than that the
Red-headed Woodpecker was not spending much time in the surrounding
Liriodendron "Tulip Poplars".

Larry Rohr advised that he would be happy to show folks the tree and
check the vicinity for a nearby Great Horned Owl nest, etc.
He provided his number if desired since he does not use email.
233-2295, for Larry Rohr and his wife Wendy Andriot.

Cheers,
Bill Benish (& Robyn Puffenbarger)
Bridgewater, VA
