On the 'Nature' program Sunday evening from 8-9 pm there will be a program
entitled, "Crash:A Tale of Two Species" about the Red Knot and Horseshoe Crab.
This is Channel 23, PBS, in Richmond.
John stated, "We tried to get a partial moratorium in Virginia but the
scientists did not know about Red Knot populations in Virginia. The Nature
Conservancy did some studies last year on the seaside of the Eastern Shore that
showed the Red Knot population being greater in Virginia than any other state."
