[va-richmond-general] Re: RED-HEADED WOODPECKER at Robious Landing Park

I think RHWP are very colonial. We have had a breeding pair in our yard or
next door for the past 6 years. Our yard is very typical, but we do have
scattered dying trees, which provides the nest locations. They love the suet
feeder. Our neighborhood is 15 years old, so they may have been hear since it
was cleared for houses. They may have very strong site fidelity.
