I checked out the Beaver Lake Trail as a preview for Saturday's Richmond
Audubon Society field trip. No spring migrants yet, but there was a good
showing of sparrows (CHIPPING, FOX, SONG, SWAMP, WHITE-THROATED). Other
highlights
included a second year BALD EAGLE, and a PINE WARBLER gathering moss along
the stream bank near the dam. The wintering ducks have pretty much left (NO
CANADA GEESE!)
