[va-richmond-general] OSPREY in Powhatan County 6/20/09

After last night's thunderstorm and over half an inch of rain, I looked out and 
saw a rather bedraggled OSPREY in our neighbor's dead "eagle tree" this 
morning.? This is unusual in the Piedmont this late.? Here's the full list from 
my morning walk around the neighborhood.



Observation date:     6/20/09
Notes:     Half an inch of rain the previous night.  One rather bedraggled 
Osprey perched in our neighbor's dead tree at the edge of our private lake this 
morning. Identified by large size, white head with dark brown eye stripe, white 
breast and belly, dark brown back.  Not unusual at this location.
