[va-richmond-general] New Arrivals around Richmond

Hi all,

I am sure that we will see a more detailed reports about arriving
species, but I wanted to mention a couple that I had today. First was an
early Blackpoll Warbler at 42nd Street - James River Park. I doubted my
hearing when I first heard it, but then I tracked it down and had it
singing and posing from 10 feet away.

Blue-winged Warblers have also arrived at 42nd Street. Others heard or
seen included: Black & White, Prothonotary, N. Parula, Ovenbird, A.
Redstart, Red-eyed Vireo, Great Horned Owl adult and juvie, Spotted
Sandpiper, Phoebe, Scarlet Tanager, Great Crested Flycatcher, and the
others that have been around.

In the tray feeder at my house, I had my first Rose-breasted Grosbeak of
the year. (11:35am) A Catbird showed up in the yard yesterday.

What a great start to the day and weekend!!!
