[va-richmond-general] Movie-"Winged Migration" at the Westhampton theatre

Items
1. Five separate teams across several continents made this unusual and
informative film about long migrations of numerous avian species. Check the
website at "http://www.sonyclassics.com/wingedmigration/home.html"; for its
trailer. It was also written up in the Times-Dispatch earlier this week.
Recommend seeing this-if it comes out in video, I'd like to buy a copy.

2.For those of you who heard 'Walkin'Jim Stoltz' sing several years ago in
Richmond, the man who has walked 25,000 miles through America's backcountry,
has a book out about it. Check out "http://walkinjim.com"; for more info.

3.For those who want to create stationery with herons on it, check out the
site "http://www.herondance.org"; for more info.

4.Cedar waxwings breed in Virginia (Virginia Breeding Bird Atlas) and become
very quiet and secretive during the period of raising young. Thelma Dalmas
found some breeding near Chincoteague in one of the last years of the study
(1984-1990).
