[va-richmond-general] Mockingbird Question

There is a Red Tailed Hawk in my neighborhood consantly flying around with  
it's unique call.  Yesterday morning I heard the call and traced it to a  tall 
pine tree in my yard only to find that a Mockingbird was making the  call.  It 
did not have the volume of the hawk but the call was the  same.  Other birds 
were flying around to check it out too.
 
Does anyone know if this is typical of a Mockingbird?
