[va-richmond-general] Merchant's Mill Pond-Sunday May 29

Load up the canoe/kayak and join RAS as we paddle through Merchant's Mill Pond 
in Gatesville, NC on Sunday May 29. We will meet at 7am at McDonald's on Route 
10 and 295 in Chester-or feel free to meet us at the Pond. Target birds: Barred 
Owl, Yellow-billed Cuckoo and nesting Prothonotary and Yellow-throated 
warblers. Last year we had 2 Alligator sightings.
Prepare for sun, fun. mosquitoes and swamp conditions. Bring plenty of water,

MMP is about 92 miles from Chester-park admission is free. Canoe rentals are 
available but cannot be reserved in advance. This will be the 3rd annual MMP 
Memorial Day Paddle-sure beats a furniture sale.
