[va-richmond-general] Mathews County
I spent the weekend at my cottage on Gwynn's Island, overlooking the Chesapeake Bay. The bay was a calm as a farm pond all weekend, but I did not see a duck, or a loon, or anything on the bay except one gull.
But in the yard Pine Warblers were singing, and there were some Brown- headed Nuthatches pretending to be pine cones. The strangest sight was a man on the beach in his bathing suit and shirtless on this balmy February day.
