[va-richmond-general] MAPS BANDING Powhatan 19 July 2008

An active morning in Powhatan as we opened the nets to the setting full moon and rising July sun. We heard the calls of Screech, Barred and Great Horned Owls as the day began. A beaver patrolled the pond as we made the morning circuit. It was a hot one-but the birds remained active throughout the day till we closed up shop at 1130 am. Totaled 31 birds-lots of youngsters and recaps. Thanks to the folks who came out to visit. Here's the tally:
