Took a brief walk through LGBG this afternoon. So much to see. Much bird and butterfly activity in the gardens as well as all the beautiful flowers, trees and other plantings. Spotted my first Ruby-crowned Kinglet of the season and what may perhaps be my last Red-eyed Vireo of the year. Many hummingbirds were high in the canopy, skinks skooted in the rocks and there were frogs calling and jumping in the ponds. I almost didn't go because I only had about 2 hours-but decided 2 hours was better than none-so glad I did. Tonight had a Snipe take flight from the wetland behind our house. Any thoughts on this hummingbird...?
