That's what we saw and photographed on Thursday, and what is still coming to our feeders. It is a partially albino bird, and Bob Reilly came up with the term "leucistic". The phenomon is not that unusual according to Bob. According to Roger Clapp of the Museum of Natural History one partially albino tufted titmouse like this was documented in in Virginia the late 1800s. It will take a little digging to find out how rare they actually are. I'll add it to the site where we post our bird images later today and send a link. (Linda noticed the bird first, and Al identified it as a Tufted Titmouse, Northern race, and photographed it.) Al & Linda Warfield You are subscribed to VA-Richmond-General.
